Magnus Chase series- By Rick Riordan

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Magnus Chase dies in the first or second chapter. But don't worry! He is taken by a Valkyrie to Valhalla, the hall of the dead, which you are taken to if you die a heroic death. The Magnus Chase series is basically the Percy Jackson of Norse Mythology, so if you liked the  Percy Jackson  series, or the  Norse Mythology  book, you will probably like Magnus. If you're thinking his last name is familiar, you're right! Magnus Chase is Annabeth Chase's cousin, even though they're part of different Mythologies, (don't ask me how). When I asked my mom what she liked about the series she said, "This series has great girl power and I love how Arab and trans kids are represented as heroes too!"

Norse Mythology- By Neil Gaiman

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thor, Odin, Loki, Freya, Heimdall. These are the gods of Asgard. Niflheim, Muspelheim, Asgard, Midgard, Jotunheim, Vanaheim, Alfheim, Svartalfheim, Helheim. These are the 9 worlds in Norse Mythology. I like this book, because I like all the legends of Mythology in general. If you don't like Mythology very much, this might not be the book for you, but I do.  Also, if you like the Marvel movies with Thor, you might like to learn about the real stories. My favorite character is Heimdall. I got my mom to read this book, and she said, "I loved this book too. I thought it was fun and an easy read."

Origami Yoda series- By Tom Angleberger

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a case file to find out the truth. Is Origami Yoda real? Yes, he's a real, folded piece of paper, but can he use the force? Can he give true advice? Or is the biggest idiot in the school about to humiliate all of them? These are the questions Tommy intends to answer, so he's put together this case file, and is rereading all of the times Origami Yoda has helped them, and tries to figure out the truth... After the first book, there are 5 more, in which the student battle the dreaded... FunTime, the "educational" videos that are supposed to help them, are really killing their brains!!! I like these books, because they include Star Wars, and origami, both of which I love, but if you're not particularly interested in either, you might not like these books as much as I do. I like the characters, and my favorite one is a girl named Sarah. my favorite book is the second- to- last one called Princess Label maker to the Rescue!

Lucy and Andy Neanderthals series - By Jeffrey Brown

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lucy has a younger brother named Andy. Andy has a younger brother named Danny. Danny has a mom and dad. They have a friend named Margaret, who has a brother named Phil. They also have a friend named Mr. Daryl. They are all Neanderthals. (This book takes place about 40,000 years ago). The characters are fiction, but their lifestyle is nonfiction. It's very interesting, and entertaining to see Andy try to show off, but it ending up with him... Well, kind of an idiot. the characters in this book are fun, and they make a lot of cool friends! And, they have an adorable cat named Bones!

Upside- Down Magic series- By Sarah Mlynowski, Lauren Myracle, and Emily Jenkins

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nory Horace has wonky magic. But that's not polite, so she says she has unusual magic. Her brother and sister are very normal. Her dad is the headmaster at the school they go to. Not Nory. Her dad was embarrassed by how badly she flunked the test to get in, so he shipped her off to her Aunt Margo's, so she could go to Dunwiddle, which had started an upside- down magic program for those with unusual magic. I like this book because Nory is very funny, and so are her friends. Also, I love animals, and drittens, (half dragon, half kitten) are adorable. I still read them, even though they are lower in reading level, for an upper elementary student. My mom read these books, and liked them. This is what she thinks: "I liked how this book shows how there are lots of different types of learners. I work with some unusual students, so I think it's important for many types of students to see themselves in a book."        I hope you enjoy this book as much a...

Keeper of the Lost Cities series- By Shannon Messenger

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sophie Foster has a secret. She can read minds. Ooohhh! that's awesome! I want to read minds! You think, but really, it's not. She knows she doesn't belong, but then, where does  she belong? The answer is revealed, when she meets some guy named Fitz Vacker, who tells her she's not human, she's an elf. When he takes her to the elven world, she finds out about a group called "The Black Swan", and another group, that is a mystery. one of them is out to get her, but why? Who is on her side? I love these books, because the book takes so many twists and turns, you don't know what to expect. If you like the first one, there will be 7 more to read, and they're all great! My favorite characters are Sophie, Biana (You'll figure out who this is if you read the books), and Keefe (ditto). My favorite book is probably the 1st one, but they're all equally amazing.

The Doughnut King- By Jessie Janowitz

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Okay, I just finished reading this book, like 5 minutes ago, and it is awesome!!!!!!!!!! You should totally read The Doughnut Fix first, and then read The Doughnut King, otherwise it won't make a whole lot of sense, but it will be amazing once you read it. Tristan is trying to juggle a few too many things at once like school, the Doughnut Stop, and just having a life. The problem is, he can't figure out a solution, and when he does, it's way too expensive. His plan is to get a doughnut robot, and it's a great plan! Or... It would have been, if the doughnut robot hadn't cost 50,000! This is their only solution. How are they going to get that type of money? Tris's younger sister Jeanine tries to help by applying him for a cooking show, where he can win he money, but Tris is not quite so excited. Will it work out? One of the reasons I liked this book was because the story takes so many turns, you don't know where it's going to end up. Pick a time ...

The Mr. Terupt Series- By Rob Buyea

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Anna is quiet. Jeffrey doesn't care. Luke is smart. Alexia is popular and mean. Daniel is sometimes popular, sometimes not (but mostly not). Peter is a trouble maker. Jessica likes to read. They are not friends, but that all changes when they are taught by the best teacher ever... Mr. Terupt. He brings them together in an amazing way, but when he gets put in a coma, they come even closer. If you read the first one, there will be 2 more adventures with Mr. Terupt! I like this book, because the characters change from mean to nice, and from nice to awesome. My favorite book is Mr. Terupt falls again, because it's the happiest one. My favorite character is probably Alexia, because she goes from being the mean girl, to someone who doesn't at all talk, to someone who is really nice.
