In the game, she is forced to kill people. other kids her same age or younger. She befriends a young girl named Rue, barely survives, and ends up the winner of the 74th annual hunger games. The next year is a quarter quell, which happens every 5 years, and it means they switch the games up. This year, the past victors end up playing other past victors. One female, and one male. this means Katniss has to compete. She's playing against adults. She has no chance of winning. But in the middle of the game, she is rescued by some rebels, and is taken to district 13. There, she turns into the Mockingjay. These books are kind of sad, but still so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You might have already heard of them, but have you read them? If not, you totally should. They're awesome.
